Non-GMO Project Verified

The Non-GMO Project Verified seal is your assurance that the NOW® product you’re purchasing has been verified as non-GMO by an independent, third-party organization. The Non-GMO Project works at every level of the supply chain to ensure viable non-GMO choices for consumers.

USDA Organic

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) certifies organic products through their National Organic Program (NOP), which develops rules and regulations for the production, handling, labeling of all USDA organic products. NOW® is proud to offer a wide selection of USDA Certified Organic products.

 

Intertek GMP Supplement Certification:

NOW® is audited and certified by Intertek as having met the Supplement Safety & Compliance Initiative (SSCI) benchmarks, which ensures uniformity in the manufacturing of dietary supplements consistent with CFR 111 and demonstrates continuous improvements in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards. SSCI is an industry-driven initiative led by retailers to provide a harmonized benchmark created to recognize supplement safety, authenticity, and compliance standards around the world for equivalency throughout the entire supply chain. Dietary supplements must meet or exceed the SSCI benchmark to be accepted by major retailers, all with the goal of providing quality products and increasing consumer confidence.

UL Enhanced Certification for Cosmetics

The purpose of the UL® National Brand Certification Program (NBCP) is to assess the extent to which an organization conforms to the applicable regulations and/or standards regarding the products being manufactured. NOW® received Underwriters Laboratories (UL) Enhanced Certification for the entire line of cosmetics following inspection of our good manufacturing practice and quality system in conformance with ISO 221716:20017. The scope of inspection includes the manufacturing, packaging, storage, and distribution of cosmetic products including gels, creams, lotions, shampoos, and toothpaste at NOW’s facilities.

 

Safe Quality Food (SQF)

NOW® is proud to be certified through the Safe Quality Food (SQF) Program, a rigorous and credible food safety and quality program that is recognized by retailers, brand owners, and food service providers world-wide. Approved by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), SQF is the only GFSI recognized program to offer certification from farm to fork.

Informed Sport

The Informed Sport seal is your assurance that each and every production run of these NOW® Sports products has been tested for banned substances by LGC, a globally recognized assurance program for anti-doping in sports nutrition products. In addition to production run testing, Informed Sport certified products are also blind-sampled at the retail level up to four times annually, and testing results can be found here.

Vegan

NOW® products bearing the vegan seal have been carefully screened to ensure the absence of meat, eggs, dairy, and any other ingredients sourced from animals.

Gluten Free

NOW® products bearing the gluten-free seal are products that have been tested to ensure 20 ppm (parts per million) or less of gluten.

GOED

NOW® is happy to display the GOED Proud Member logo, which was created to allow members of GOED, the Global Organization of EPA and DHA Omega-3s, to showcase their commitment to integrity, responsible behavior, and the production of quality products. As a GOED member, NOW adheres to the quality and ethical guidelines of GOED. The GOED Voluntary Monograph is the industry benchmark for omega-3 quality and members with products within the scope of the monograph are required to uphold these quality standards. The use of GOED’s Proud Member logo ensures our customers that NOW aspires to ethical business behavior and the manufacture of quality omega-3 products.

Halal

NOW® Halal-certified products are made using ingredients that are permissible under Muslim dietary law. Similar to kosher, halal food products are prepared in a hygienic and humane manner and are suitable for individuals of Muslim faith.

Friend of the Sea

NOW® is proud to offer these Friend of the Sea© certified products, which are produced using sustainably harvested fish and krill. Friend of the Sea© is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that seeks to conserve our planet’s marine habitat, protecting marine environments and sea life by promoting sustainable fishing methods and fighting against over-exploitation.

Triangle K is a kosher certification agency whose symbol signifies kashrut, or the strictest of Jewish dietary laws. NOW® is proud to offer these Triangle-K Kosher Certified products.

Kosher (Triangle K-Contains Gelatin)

Triangle K-Contains Gelatin products are products that have been kosher certified by Triangle K but contain gelatin. NOW® is proud to offer these Triangle-K Kosher Certified products that contain gelatin.

Kosher (Triangle K with Dairy)

Triangle K is a kosher certification agency whose symbol signifies kashrut, or the strictest of Jewish dietary laws. Triangle K with the letter D means that the product is certified kosher by Triangle K but contains dairy.  

NASC

National Animal Supplement Council (NASC) – The National Animal Supplement Council (NASC) protects and enhances the integrity of the animal health products industry by promoting the well-being of animals given food supplements by their owners. This seal is your assurance that NOW® Pets products adhere to NASC standards for animal health products.

EWG Verified®

The Non-GMO Project Verified seal is your assurance that the NOW® product you’re purchasing has been verified as non-GMO by an independent, third-party organization. The Non-GMO Project works at every level of the supply chain to ensure viable non-GMO choices for consumers.

No Aspartame, No Sucralose, No Ace-K

NOW® never uses aspartame, sucralose, or acesulfame potassium. The “No Aspartame, No Sucralose, No Acesulfame-K” seal on these NOW® Sports products is your assurance that they’ve been manufactured without the use of these synthetic sweeteners. At NOW® we prefer to use pure products when available and formulations with organic monk fruit, stevia, xylitol, or other sweeteners inspired by nature whenever needed.

Certified Gluten Free

NOW® Certified Gluten-Free products adhere to standards established by The Gluten-Free Certification Organization (GFCO), which require certified gluten-free products to be manufactured using only ingredients that contain 10 ppm (parts per million) or less of gluten.

Non-GMO

Probiotic Strain Verified products are NOW® probiotic products in which the probiotic strains have been analyzed and their identity verified using the cutting-edge RiboPrinter® microbial characterization system. The Probiotic Strain Verified seal is your assurance that the bacterial strains in these NOW® probiotic products have been verified using the latest analytical methods.

Steroid Tested

NOW® Sports products bearing the Steroid-Tested logo have been tested to be under 500 ppb of steroids by our state of the art in-house laboratory. We have developed our own testing method using our LC-TOF-MS instrument. It focuses on testing for the following steroids: fluoxymesterone, stanazol, boldenone, nandrolone, methandienone, testosterone, methyl-testosterone, and androstenedione.

Terracycle®

NOW® is doing our part to minimize the impact of our products on the environment by partnering with Terracycle®, a U.S.-based recycling company that takes non-recyclable materials and converts them into new finished goods, keeping them out of landfills. These NOW® products can be recycled through our Terracycle® partnership program.

Cruelty Free

NOW® Solutions is proud to announce the addition of the PETA cruelty-free certification, Beauty without Bunnies, to all of our topical skincare and aromatherapy products. Look for PETA’s bunny logo coming soon to all packaging of NOW® Solutions products, in which each ingredient used has been put through a rigorous approval process. NOW never tests ingredients or finished products on animals, and this certification ensures our customers that our beauty and personal-care products are cruelty-free.

CarnoSyn®

The CarnoSyn® Verified logo ensures NOW® Sports customers that our products include the scientifically proven daily dose of 3.2-6.4g of CarnoSyn® in our formulations (whether in a standalone product or as a supplement stack). We choose to use CarnoSyn®, so that our customers know that the beta-alanine in our sports nutrition products is the highest quality available.

Genuine Whole Food

NOW® Genuine Whole Food products are natural products with a nutritional profile that closely match the naturally occurring nutrient profile found in genuine whole foods.

Australian Tea Tree Industry

The Australian Tea Tree Industry (ATTIA) logo ensures consumers that Code of Practice (COP) accredited pure, regulated, traceable, safe, unadulterated Australian Tea Tree Oil is being used in these NOW® Essential Oil products.
